Thank a Caregiver - Doctors' Day is March 30

Has your life been touched by a special doctor or caregiver? Too often we let the opportunity to say “Thank You” slip away in the rush of our daily routines. If you have encountered someone who made your experience special - a doctor, nurse, volunteer, or other staff member, "Thank a Caregiver" with a gift to the St. Elizabeth/Nebraska Heart Foundation at or call (402) 219-7051. Your doctor/caregiver will receive a special note from you honoring the care they provided. Honor those who make a difference!

Pediatric Place at St. Elizabeth

St. Elizabeth developed a new model to care for children through your support. This is an improved way to keep young patients closer to families, in our community - and still deliver good quality pediatric care. A hospital and emergency care unit - specialized separate area - is located adjacent to the Emergency Department and is the Pediatric Place at St. Elizabeth - ER and Hospital area - just for kids. An inviting and child-like atmosphere welcomes children and their families. Learn more about this important project.

Please support Pediatric Place at St. Elizabeth and help invest in the care of your children.

Hearts of Hope: Canopy Ambulance Entrance

During a heart attack or critical illness, every second counts. At CHI Health Nebraska Heart, we have four state-of-the-art catheterization labs within 50 feet of the ambulance entrance door. In this amazing facility, the door to balloon time is just 22 minutes--compared to the American Heart Association standard of 90 minutes. We are asking for your support to help create a specialized canopy ambulance entrance area to shield our staff and patients from the harsh Nebraska weather. The newly designed covered entrance will be created to handle two emergency vehicles transporting our most critical heart patients protecting them for these outside elements. Give to Hearts of Hope and help support our patients. To the left is the artist rendering for future plans and below is the current ambulance area that will be remodeled with a new canopy entrance.

Special Outreach

Your estate plan is more powerful than you may realize. Not only can you secure your family’s future with quality planning, but you can change our patients’ lives as well.  Many of our supporters have chosen to participate in various planned giving options. Estate gifts are given in many ways based on your family’s values and goals. One major benefit of planned giving may be significant tax advantages, depending upon your situation. As a service to our friends and donors, St. Elizabeth Foundation offers confidential and comprehensive estate planning services at no charge and with no obligation. Planning clients are not asked or expected to make gifts, unless they choose to.  Please contact Donna Hammack at (402) 219-7074 for additional information.
