Richard L. Herink, market president of First National Bank, Lincoln, Neb., has had a career in banking and business primarily in Nebraska since 1975. During his long history of bank management, Mr. Herink’s emphasis has been in commercial and agricultural lending.
Mr. Herink was an executive officer with a publicly traded hotel and construction company prior to joining First National Bank in 2000. His responsibility was to bring First National into the Lincoln market. During the past 14 years, he has established a full-service banking presence for First National Bank in Lincoln.
Mr. Herink has served on many boards both for-profit and non-profit companies over the years. He currently serves as board chair for the CHI-Nebraska/SE Iowa Network, and as a board member for the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. He is a past board chair of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Lincoln/Lancaster County.
